Vanbebilt Graduation
Vanbebilt Graduation
A heartfelt homage:
2025 was the year Roman would've graduated from high school. Vandebilt honored Roman by placing a special cap and gown on a chair for him alongside the other graduates. Before the ceremony began, Vandebilt President Mr. Jeremy Gueldner spoke about Roman and requested a moment of silence. He said, "He has left a lasting legacy in the hearts of this class and the entire Vandebilt Catholic community". We are incredibly touched by this kind gesture.
Candlelight Rosary
Candlelight Rosary
May 13th is the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima. What better day to host our cemetery rosary than on this special day. The Larose cemetery features statues of the three children of Fatima. The statues just so happened to be placed near Roman’s grave. We gathered together to remember and honor Roman by participating in and leading a candlelight rosary. We feel this rosary was the perfect way to honor our Blessed Mother Mary and remember Roman.
2025 Baseball Season
2025 Baseball Season
2025 would’ve been Roman’s senior year of high school. Some of his former teammates honored Roman by wearing custom cleats for their senior season. The cleats include Roman’s crest, two scapular tags, and the website name along the Nike check. As a surprise, Vandebilt hung a banner for Roman along with the other senior banners. We are so touched by this kind and special gesture.

September Pickleball Tournament
September Pickleball Tournament
Our second pickleball tournament was a huge success! With 50 teams registered to play in the tournament, competition was fierce all day. Aside from pickleball games, visitors enjoyed our silent auction, bidding in our cake auction, and our homemade jambalaya. We could not have done this without the support of the community, donors, and sponsors. Huge thank you to our “King of the Court” sponsor: SONOCO. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who visited, participated, volunteered, and spent time with us. Your support and fellowship made the event truly special!

On May 20th at 7:00pm , we gathered together to remember and honor Roman by participating and leading a candlelight rosary at Holy Rosary Church in Larose. By coming together in prayer and reflection, we celebrated the quiet virtues that Roman embodied. We honor our Blessed Mother Mary, who is a mother to us all. May we love her more each day as she leads us closer to her Son, Jesus! We are very appreciative to everyone who was able to join us in person and virtually!
